Stockholm 2023/10/04

Wednesday 04 October: We met Karin at the Skillinge bus stop. She was all on her way to Stockholm via Snälltåget from Lund as were we. The journey went well and we chatted over dinner in the dining car. She lives on Djurgården. Our hotel was an old prison on Långholmen that we had stayed in earlier. Our room was small but comfortable.

Thursday: Metro to Ropsten and an exhibition by Kaffe Fassett at Millesgården. It was colourful with very stimulating large textile hangings. We walked over Lidingöbron from Ropsten and back. We returned to the hotel for a nap and then metro and bus to Börje and Margaretta. Nostalgic evening with good food and then we took an Uber taxi home to the hotel.

Friday: We walked over Västerbrön to Kungsholmen to visit Eja in her collective house. It had impressive facilities inclusive of a swimming pool. We ate in the Wardhus in our hotel because it was raining which was ok, but not outstanding.

Saturday: Anna was at her knitting course. I went to the graffiti artist Banksy exhibition and then to Stampen. Eja also turned up but it was way too crowded to meet. Anna came to Stampen then we ate Indian near the hotel.

Sunday: Anna was at her knitting course and I walked via South Mälarstrand to Kungsholmen and then to Djurgården and the Viking Museum. I ate fish and chips at Skroten. I met Anna and we went to the Modern Museum which was Impressive. Dinner was excellent we ate Thai tapas near our hotel.

Monday: Metro, Train, Bus, Bus on our way home.
